Friends of the Jailhouse
People We'd Trust With Our Own Wedding
We've had the privilege of working alongside some incredibly talented professionals over the years, and this list is made up of vendors who have consistently provided excellent service to our couples.
While you are welcome to choose any licensed vendor for your wedding, we highly recommend these businesses based on our firsthand experience.
All vendors providing services on-site at The Historic Dallas Jail are required to submit a Certificate of Insurance (COI) no later than two weeks before your event.
Our vendor recommendations are never paid placements. Vendors cannot purchase a spot on this list, and we do not receive commissions, referral fees, or kickbacks. Every business featured here has earned our trust through the quality of their work, professionalism, and the care they show our couples.

Catering & Bartending
Great food and exceptional hospitality are at the heart of every memorable celebration. To ensure every couple receives the same level of care and professionalism, we require all catering and bartending services to be selected from our trusted partner list.
Our catering partners are fully licensed and insured, understand our historic venue, and have consistently provided outstanding service to our couples. They are familiar with our kitchen, timelines, venue policies, and event flow, allowing everyone to work together seamlessly so you can simply enjoy your wedding day.
Catering Options
We work with two types of caterers: Drop-Off Catering and Full-Service Catering.
For events with 40 guests or fewer, drop-off catering is permitted. For events with more than 40 guests, a full-service caterer is required.
Our full-service caterers do much more than prepare a delicious meal. Their experienced chefs and service staff handle every aspect of food service, including meal preparation, buffet or plated service, replenishing food, bussing tables, cleaning the dining area, and packing everything up at the end of the evening. Many of our full-service caterers also offer drop-off service for smaller celebrations.
If you are interested in working with a caterer who is not currently on our approved list, please send us their business name and contact information before booking. We are happy to review qualified vendors; however, they must meet our venue requirements and provide proof of insurance. Additional approval fees may apply, and we reserve the right to decline any vendor who is not a good fit for our venue or service standards.
Bartending
The Historic Dallas Jail allows beer, wine, cider, and seltzers only. Liquor and fortified wines are not permitted.
Bar service is limited to a maximum of five hours, with last call taking place 30 minutes before your scheduled event end time.
Bartenders must be selected from our approved vendor list or provided through your full-service caterer. If you would like to use a bartender who is not currently approved, please contact us before booking so we can review their qualifications and insurance. Approval is not guaranteed.
If alcohol will be served, couples are required to purchase a day-of-event liability insurance policy, and all bartenders must provide a current Certificate of Insurance prior to your wedding.
A Note About Our Vendor List
Our approved vendors are not paid partners, and placement on our list cannot be purchased. We do not receive referral fees, commissions, or kickbacks from any vendor we recommend. Every business on our list has earned our trust through firsthand experience, professionalism, and consistently providing exceptional service to our couples.
