A Simple Spring Wedding at The Historic Dallas Jail | Caila & Jeremy’s I Do & Dessert Celebration

The first spring wedding of the year is always something special, and Caila and Jeremy’s day was the perfect way to welcome the season.

Caila and Jeremy live in the Lowcountry, but like many couples today, they were searching for something a little different — a simpler, more meaningful way to get married without the stress of a traditional wedding.

That search led them to The Historic Dallas Jail.

When they found our I Do & Dessert package, it was exactly what they had been looking for.

A Simpler Way to Say “I Do”

We designed our I Do & Dessert experience for couples who may be considering a courthouse wedding or elopement, but still want their closest family and friends there to share in the moment.

It’s about keeping the day focused on what matters most — the ceremony, the connection, and the people around you — while still including all of the moments that make a wedding day feel complete.

Caila and Jeremy immediately connected with that idea.

As first responders, they live busy, demanding lives. What they wanted most was to know that everything would be taken care of so they could simply show up, be present, and enjoy their wedding day.

A Thoughtfully Designed Wedding Day

Their celebration was a beautiful example of how simple can still feel incredibly special.

Caila spent time getting ready inside the venue, surrounded by the quiet excitement of the day ahead.

Their ceremony was heartfelt and personal, officiated by a dear family friend — a meaningful touch that made the moment even more special.

After saying “I do,” guests enjoyed a relaxed cocktail hour while Caila and Jeremy stepped away for couple portraits and time together.

The day flowed naturally into a light reception where they shared their first dance, honored their families, and celebrated with cake.

And yes — the cake was included.

Everything You Need, Nothing You Don’t

One of the things couples love most about this experience is how simple it is to plan.

For Caila and Jeremy, the only things they needed to bring in were her bouquet, his boutonniere, and their officiant.

Everything else — the space, the setup, the flow of the day, and the details — was already taken care of.

No overwhelming decisions.
No complicated logistics.
Just a beautiful, intentional celebration.
