Set inside a restored and reimagined 1848 Victorian jailhouse, The Bridewell was created for weddings that feel personal, thoughtful, and full of character. We’re intimate by choice, known for hands-on service and attention to detail, and designed for couples who want their wedding to feel like more than just another event.
From vows beside the original fireplace or in the courtyard, to cocktails under the market lights, dinner upstairs in the Cell Block, and dancing late into the evening, each space at The Bridewell has its own personality while still feeling connected to the story of the day.
Before the Ceremony
The hours before the ceremony are full of some of the best moments of the day. It’s time for getting ready, bridal portraits, first looks with family, a first look with your fiancé, private vows, and all the little in-between moments with the people closest to you.
It’s the part of the day where the anticipation really starts to build — and where so many of the photos and memories begin.
Ceremony
Your ceremony should feel personal from the very beginning. At The Bridewell, couples can exchange vows beside the original fireplace indoors or outside in our private courtyard, surrounded by the character of the restored 1848 jailhouse.
Because we’re intimate by choice, the ceremony never feels lost in a large room. Your guests are close, the setting feels warm, and every detail feels part of the moment.
Cocktail Hour
After the ceremony, the celebration can move naturally into cocktail hour. Our courtyard and indoor spaces give everyone room to grab a drink, mingle, and settle into the evening while you step away for portraits.
It’s relaxed, easy, and designed to keep the day flowing — with plenty of character, thoughtful details, and space for your guests to actually enjoy being together.
Reception
Dinner and dancing take on a different feel inside The Bridewell. Upstairs in the Cell Block, original details, warm lighting, and an intimate layout create a reception that feels more like a beautiful dinner party than a traditional ballroom.
With space for the people you love most, the room feels full without feeling crowded — giving everyone a front-row seat to the toasts, first dances, and all the little moments that make the night memorable.
Dancing the Night Away + Grand Exit
Once dinner is finished, the celebration can really begin. Whether you’re dancing upstairs beneath the chandeliers or taking the party into the courtyard under the market lights, The Bridewell keeps the energy feeling close, lively, and connected.
