Real Wedding at The Historic Dallas Jail: Emily & Turner’s Joyful Sunday Celebration
If you're searching for a wedding venue near Charlotte, NC that blends charm, personality, and historic beauty—Emily and Turner’s big day at The Historic Dallas Jail is all the inspiration you need.
On a sunny Sunday afternoon, surrounded by 90 of their closest friends and family, Emily and Turner tied the knot in our beautiful courtyard ceremony space. A live violinist played as their faith-based ceremony unfolded, featuring a large bridal party, flower girls, and even flower grannies—one of our favorite personal touches.
A Unique & Meaningful Reception
Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktail hour on the lawn, complete with a popcorn bar and a fun tattoo station. Family photos took place inside our historic venue, while the couple slipped across the street to the courthouse for some portraits before dinner.
Upstairs, guests found their seats for a cozy, heartfelt dinner reception. After Emily and Turner were introduced, everyone enjoyed BBQ plates served family-style, followed by touching speeches, laughter, and a round of the couple’s version of The Shoe Game—always a crowd favorite!
Dancing, Sunset Photos & A Bubble Exit
The celebration continued with honorary dances and an open dance floor downstairs. Before the night ended, the couple slipped away for sunset photos with Turner’s vintage truck, a perfect nod to their love story. Their evening wrapped up with a sweet bubble exit, surrounded by smiles, hugs, and the people who mean the most.
