Real Wedding: Alexis & John’s Intimate Summer Celebration in Dallas, NC
Some weddings come together over the course of a year… and some come together in just a few short weeks. Alexis and John’s June 21st wedding at The Historic Dallas Jail was one of those beautifully unique, fast-paced love stories—and we were honored to help bring it to life.
Alexis, a member of the U.S. Navy stationed in Virginia, reached out to us just six weeks before their big day. John was living in Tennessee. With a long-distance relationship and a small window to plan, we got right to work—coordinating every detail over FaceTime. We didn’t meet them in person until the night of their rehearsal, but by then, it already felt like we’d known them forever.
A Destination Wedding in Dallas, NC
Even though they live states apart, Alexis and John chose to host their intimate destination wedding in downtown Dallas, North Carolina. 32 of their closest friends and family traveled from across the Southeast to witness their heartfelt ceremony, which was officiated by a family friend and filled with emotion. After spending years apart in different places, this moment meant everything.
Their day was a beautiful mix of military pride, family connection, and deep love—set against the warm backdrop of a North Carolina summer.
The Beauty of Small Weddings
What made this celebration so special was its simplicity and sincerity. No elaborate production. No stress. Just two people, finally coming together, surrounded by those who matter most. That’s the kind of magic that happens here.
