A black lace gown, Victorian romance, and a Halloween wedding in a historic 1848 jailhouse.
Halloween finally fell on a Saturday in 2026, and what better place to say "I do" than a restored Victorian-era jailhouse?
For Imany and Noah, October 31 was the perfect date to celebrate their love. With a vision inspired by Gothic Victorian romance, the couple embraced the history and character of The Historic Dallas Jail in Dallas, North Carolina, for a wedding that was anything but traditional.
And what a fun couple they were!
A Gothic Victorian Wedding Dream
From the beginning, Imany and Noah envisioned a wedding that felt romantic, dramatic, and a little unconventional.
Their Gothic Victorian inspiration was a natural fit for our historic venue. Built in 1848, The Historic Dallas Jail is filled with exposed brick, original architectural details, antique furnishings, and the kind of atmosphere that simply can't be recreated in a modern ballroom.
For couples who love history, vintage style, and a touch of the unexpected, there's something magical about celebrating in a building with nearly two centuries of stories.
And on Halloween? Even better.
The Bride Wore Black
Forget the traditional white wedding gown. Imany made an unforgettable entrance in a stunning black lace wedding dress.
With its high neckline, long sleeves, and cathedral-length veil, her gown was the perfect expression of Gothic Victorian elegance.
Romantic, dramatic, and timeless, it looked as though it belonged in the halls of a Victorian manor.
We love when brides embrace their personal style, and Imany's look was a beautiful reminder that wedding traditions are meant to be made your own.
A Romantic Fireplace Ceremony
Imany and Noah exchanged vows in front of our historic double fireplace on the main floor.
The architectural character of the space provided a naturally dramatic setting for their ceremony, perfectly complementing the couple's Gothic-inspired wedding style.
Surrounded by family and friends, the two began their next chapter together in a setting that felt entirely their own.
Cocktails in the Courtyard
Following the ceremony, guests made their way into our private courtyard for cocktail hour while the newlyweds enjoyed wedding portraits.
The courtyard offered a beautiful contrast to the moody interior, with its historic surroundings, iron pergola, fountain, and garden details.
It was the perfect opportunity for guests to mingle and celebrate before heading upstairs for dinner.
And for Imany and Noah, the historic architecture provided no shortage of beautiful backdrops for their wedding photographs.
Dinner in the Cell Block
As evening arrived, guests gathered upstairs in our Cell Block Ballroom for dinner.
With its exposed brick walls and historic details, the upstairs space was a perfect continuation of the couple's Gothic Victorian vision.
One of our favorite things about weddings at The Historic Dallas Jail is how the celebration moves throughout the building. From an intimate fireplace ceremony to courtyard cocktails and dinner in the Cell Block, each space brings its own personality to the experience.
A Wedding Cake to Remember
No Halloween wedding would be complete without something sweet!
Imany and Noah's beautiful wedding cake was created by Cake Me Away, adding another special detail to their Gothic Victorian celebration.
We always love seeing how couples bring their personal style into every part of their wedding day, and the cake is such a wonderful opportunity to do just that.
A beautiful cake, a historic setting, and a Halloween wedding to remember!
Dancing the Night Away
After dinner, it was time to celebrate!
Imany and Noah spent the rest of their Halloween wedding dancing the night away with their family and friends.
A little Gothic romance, a little Halloween magic, and a whole lot of fun.
It was the kind of wedding that reminds us why we love couples who aren't afraid to do things differently.
A Wedding Venue for the Unconventional Couple
Imany and Noah's Halloween wedding was a perfect example of what makes The Historic Dallas Jail so special.
Our venue isn't about fitting every couple into the same wedding mold. It's about embracing individuality, celebrating personal style, and creating an experience that feels authentic to the people getting married.
Whether your vision is Gothic Victorian, vintage romantic, moody and dramatic, or completely unexpected, our historic venue offers a one-of-a-kind setting for your next chapter.
Intimate by choice. Untraditional by design.
