Where we started…

Any time we talk about our venue people are constantly surprised that the ‘old jail’ is open.

Our building sat empty for almost 40 years before we came along and made the decision to tackle the biggest renovation of our careers. But I love sharing the ‘before’ pictures so people can see how the building has come. When we closed on the building it was just a historic stack of bricks. We had no electricity, no plumbing, no heating or air-conditioning (never even been installed in the building before), boarded up and broken windows, and half the building was pulling away and need major structural repair. I was crazy enough to think we could tackle renovating this 5,000 sqft, 175 year old building into a commercial event venue.

But I knew I that this building needed saving and I knew that my family were the people to do it.

So here are the official “before” pictures of our jail.
