Real Wedding: Abigail & Devin’s Christmas Wedding at The Historic Dallas Jail

A holiday celebration full of magic, meaning, and the sweetest personal touches

Christmas weddings will always have our hearts. There’s just something about the season — the twinkle lights, the cozy vibes, the excitement in the air — that makes a wedding feel even more magical.

Abigail and Devin’s Christmas wedding at The Historic Dallas Jail was everything we love about winter celebrations: heartfelt moments, thoughtful details, and a room full of friends and family who showed up ready to celebrate. From their meaningful ceremony to a dance floor that stayed packed all night, their day was one we’ll never forget.

A ceremony filled with love (and a special family moment)

Abigail and Devin gathered with their closest people for an intimate ceremony inside our historic venue, surrounded by warm holiday details and the charm of the season.

One of the sweetest moments of the day was Abigail’s brother walking her down the aisle — a meaningful touch that made the ceremony feel even more personal. Abigail looked absolutely stunning in her wedding gown from Poffie Girls.

A creative ceremony detail that included their guests

Abigail and Devin added one of the most unique and meaningful ceremony touches we’ve ever seen — and it brought such a fun moment of surprise to the day.

Two chairs had ornaments hidden underneath them, and whoever happened to sit in those chairs got to serve as their two witnesses and sign their marriage license. It was such a sweet way to include friends in a role that felt truly special — and it created an instant memory everyone will talk about forever.

Cocktail hour + a first Christmas tree tradition

After the ceremony, everyone stepped outside for a quick group photo before moving into cocktail hour. While guests enjoyed the moment together, Abigail and Devin snuck away for couple portraits.

One of our favorite details from their day happened during cocktail hour: guests helped decorate the groom’s grandmother’s Christmas tree. Abigail and Devin asked everyone to bring an ornament as a gift, so they could decorate their first Christmas tree together as a married couple. It was sentimental, fun, and such a meaningful way to honor family while creating a new tradition.

A cozy pasta bar dinner (perfect for a chilly night)

Once Abigail and Devin joined the reception, everyone sat down to enjoy a pasta bar — and honestly, it was the perfect warm meal for a winter wedding night. Comfort food always wins, especially when it’s cold outside and you’ve got a full evening of celebrating ahead.

Sweet speeches + holiday desserts

After dinner, Abigail and Devin cut their cake and enjoyed heartfelt speeches from loved ones — the kind of moments that remind you what the whole day is really about.

Dessert was the cutest holiday twist: Christmas tree Little Debbies and gingerbread men, which felt so fun, nostalgic, and perfectly on-theme.

Dancing, line dancing, and the BEST energy

Then the party moved downstairs… and it was ON. 🎉

DJ Little G was amazing and kept the energy up all night long. There was tons of line dancing, nonstop laughing, and a dance floor full of people who were clearly having the best time.

The bridal chop + a surprise second look

Just when we thought the night couldn’t get more iconic — Abigail disappeared for a bit and came back with a whole new vibe.

She changed into a short party dress, red boots, and a surprise new haircut. Her stylist met her for a full-on bridal chop moment, and it was the most fun, confident, main-character energy. Truly the perfect second look for a holiday party wedding.

Ending the night with a sparkler exit

Abigail and Devin danced all night and wrapped up their celebration with a sparkler exit — the perfect ending to a winter wedding full of love, personality, and holiday magic.
